Midtown Doral has announced the first two brands that will open in its 100-store retail component.
Capriccio’s Restaurant is the first eatery confirmed for the development at N.W. 107th Ave. in Doral. It will be the Italian restaurant’s third location. It sells salads, desserts, paninis, pastas, risotto and veal or salmon carpaccio.
Value Rx Optical also confirmed space at Midtown Doral. The eyeglasses retailer will open its 10th location nationally and carry fashionable eyewear brands including Prada, Rayban, Oakley others.
Midtown Doral’s three phases will encompass a total of 1,547 residential homes, 300,000 square feet of retail space, an office building, and a clubhouse with a spa and fitness center. The development’s first phase is expected to open September 2016 and will include 509 residential units and 72,000 square feet of commercial space.
Sergio Pino and Century Homebuilders Group are developing Midtown Doral.
It is competing for residents and retailers with another massive mixed-use project in the city: the 120-acre Downtown Doral development being built on N.W. 87th Ave., a few blocks north of Doral Boulevard on N.W. 53rd St. Downtown Doral expects to add 70 retailers and restaurants to its commercial component and has already confirmed more than a dozen. Its first phase is expected to be delivered by December.
