Another New Apartment Project Planned For Downtown Doral Site

Greystar purchased a lot on the former White Course in Doral to build an apartment building called The Elan at Downtown Doral South.

Codina Partners sold the 4-acre lot at 8425 Northwest 41st Street for $19.25 million, or $110 per square foot. Greystar scored a $79 million loan from Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance to build the project, according to property records.

Codina Partners Launches Leasing For Beacon Logistics Park

Codina Partners has launched leasing for the newest logistics and distribution built-to-suit park in South Florida, Beacon Logistics Park.

The first phase of the Class A distribution park is Building F, which will be 147,768 square feet, with units available from 17,280 square feet and up. The building will feature a non-shared truck court, a building depth of 160 feet with a 60 foot speed bay and all the latest construction specifications required by tenants looking for a next generation facility.

How Doral Morphed From An Industrial Business Center To A Luxury Enclave

Doral is still officially a young city, incorporated only 15 years ago.

But Doral’s roots date back to the 1950s, when Doris and Alfred Kaskel scooped up 2,400 acres of swampland for $49,000 on which they built a grand hotel, country club and golf resort nearly a decade later. The Kaskels, apartment developers from New York City who also built a pair of Art Deco hotels in Miami Beach, named their new resort after themselves — and Doral was born.
